Spend too much time getting bumped to a new webpage for an ad. Too many other options to put up with this.

This app is now the worst Ive seen. Sad. Channel 5 has gotten to be bad for reporting only most of the story and now they have totally tanked the app. What is this crap of taking a quiz to read a story? So bad.

Channel 5 has been my go to station for years, and now that Im living in another state I must rely on the app for news from home. That was all well and good until now. Every story I select either demands I take a survey to read the story or Im only met with an advertisement and no story! Prior to this review I attempted to directly contact them through the app but absolutely 0 information pops up, only a contact us title. As a result of this my frustration outweighs my need to use this app so until an update is released I will NOT be using this app anymore.

This new Update really makes the app hard to follow. When you click on the breaking news section it just takes you to a list of the previous breaking news stories instead of the story that is highlighted. This is one of the many annoyances.

New update ask questions and wants you answer before you can read the stories. Will be deleting app!!!

Channel 5 and channel 4 apps basically report the same news. One lets me read an article without any fuss, one makes me answer a survey question to read anything. Guess which app Im deleting.

I used to love the NC5 app for getting my local news. I looked past the buggy issues and having to restart the app to get back to the page I needed. Now all of a sudden I have to take a survey to read the stories? No thanks. Deleted this app off my phone and will look for another app for local news. Absolutely the last straw.

When you want local news you want it now not after you answer a question for Google Ive had channel 5s previous slow loading app for years but this is insane Im deleting it hello channel 4

This use to be my "go to" app for news. Now I have to take a survey to read a news story. I will be deleting this app. Glad the other news stations in town provide a viable alternative to this junk.

Take a survey for permission to read a news story?????? Really???? How about I take the three seconds required to find the same story elsewhere... The Tennessean site does that crap too and Its never a good idea to follow anything the Tennessean does. DELETED!!!!!

This new updated app is beyond horrible. I expected something better from News Channel 5. Looks like Ill be switching to News Channel 2 until you can put out an app thats worth looking at.

I already had to scroll through ads to read a story but now im expected to complete a survey for every article I want to read? No thank you news channel 5. Ill get my news elsewhere

What was at one time the Best local news app has become the WORST! Who ever thought the last few updates were a good idea should be fired!

By far the best the app has ever looked! The very best out of all the news station apps for Nashville! Job well done developers! Keep up the great work!

The new app format is much better than before. Still a pain to scroll through stories with the large pictures on the main screen. There is too much national news in the list. I dont care that someone in Las Vegas put poop in a box on their porch to stop thieves. Where is my local news? People dont download this for national news.

This update fixes that disaster that Channel 5 called a news APP. Great job

Opens quickly, covers all current news, and has good weather and traffic coverage.

I like this new update. Easy to navigate and pretty well laid out. I only gave it 3 Stars cuz I havent found anywhere to do iContribute, school closings just to name a couple of things. Still has room for improvement in my opinion.

Please make sure the commercial with the homeless guy singing doesnt happen every time I scroll through the app.
